The First Approval of PPF from GCF in Korea

Raising $1.5 million in operating funds through submission and approval, the fist case in Korea, of GCF Project Preparation Fund(PPF)* proposal for the "Bhutan Green Transportation project" (2019.1)
* Project Preparation Facility(PPF) : A preparatory fund for establishing plans for project proposal, analyzing technical support, and conducting environmental impact assessment
Overview
The GCF Green Transportation Project for Bhutan is the first project developed by a Korean institution(GTC) directly based on the demand of developing countries, linking Korean transportation technology (ITS, BRT, etc.) and international organization (GCF, WB) finance from the planning stage
- A plan to expand outstanding domestic technologies by promoting linkage to the $50 million GCF main project and spreading it to neighboring countries (Nepal)
