[Kenya, Bangladesh] Obtainments of Project Order from CTCN

[Kenya, Bangladesh] Obtainments of Project Order from International Organization(CTCN)
GTC obtained two additional orders from the CTCN regarding technology support project in a row starting from 2016. Especially, this year’s Kenya project order is the case dealing with development of Green Climate Fund Project concept in order to process UNFCCC Technology-Finance linkage after the GTC’s successful completion of its first water resource civil-public cooperation model development project for Kenya in 2016. For the case in Bangladesh, We aim to distribute professionalism and quality of Korean technology in world society through implementation of saline seawater conversion technology and low-cost housing technology.
Catalyzing Low Cost Green Technologies for Sustainable Water Service Delivery (2nd Project)
ㅇ Project Title : Catalyzing Low Cost Green Technologies for Sustainable Water Service Delivery ②
ㅇ Background : In order to expand the results of the first project (enhancement of accessibility of water resources and construction of water service in the northern part of Kenya), the project was requested to the green technology center with relevant experiences in the process of developing the GCF (Green Climate Fund).
ㅇ Contents
- Discovery of domestic and overseas agencies capable of participating in the GCF project, Acquisition of approval authority (AE) and promotion of cooperation
- Aiming for developing GCF Project Concept and its concept note through GTC’s cooperation with the Kenyan NDA, AE and other interest groups
ㅇ Anticipated Outcome
- Acquirement of International Technology-Finance Linkage Case through GCF Project Concept Development based on CTCN Technology-support project
- Providing Foundation for Domestic Institution/Company’s Participation
- Providing Fiscal Foundation for Kenya’s Adaptation towards Climate Change
Obtainment of UN Project Tackling Salination Problems in Coastal Regions of Bangladesh
ㅇ Project Title : Technical Assistance for Saline Water Purification Technology at Household Level and Low-cost Durable Housing Technology for Coastal Areas of Bangladesh
ㅇ Background : The project aims to find solution for Bangladesh’s suffering, such as lack of drinkable water and etc., from recent salination of underground water due to the climate change and seawater level rise
ㅇ Contents : Development of GCF Project through suggestion and implementation of seawater conversion technology for Bangladesh Coastal Regions and Low-cost Housing Technology

- Implementation of Seawater Conversion Technology Applicable for Household Level
- Implementation of Low-cost Housing Technology as Preparation for Salination
- Expansive Implementation of Technology Through Developing into a GCF Project
