Green Technology Center holds inauguration of the second GTC President In-Hwan Oh

 - The new President In-Hwan Oh reveals strong ambition, stating: “GTC will take on a new challenge under a transformed paradigm.” 



With the participation of the Vice President of the Korea Institute of Science and Technology (KIST) Tae-Hoon Lim along with other principal guests and all GTC employees at the GTC conference room, the Green Technology Center (GTC) held an inauguration ceremony for the second President In-Hwan Oh on May 2.


  Through his inaugural address, the new President In-Hwan Oh, revealing strong ambitions, said, “As the central actor leading green climate technology global thinktank, the GTC will take on a new challenge under a transformed paradigm.” He also requested the advancement of all GTC employees, stating: “Each person should lead the GTC as an individual autonomous driving force by thinking differently and resolutely.”


  President Oh, who will lead the GTC for the next three years, will achieve the following goals under the new vision of “green climate technology’s leading global agency that corresponds to the new climate system”:

- Policy-making of green climate technology that centers on the consumer

- Strengthening cooperation with GCF and GGGI and supporting developing countries’ technology cooperation

- Drawing research results on the convergence of green technology

 
  President In-Hwan Oh, a renewable energy expert who has successfully deployed liquid hydrogen technology on a commercial scale and developed the first hydrogen fuel electric vehicle in Korea, graduated from Seoul National University with a Chemical Engineering major, earned a doctorate in Chemical Engineering from Purdue University, and performed research at KIST. In 2000, President In-Hwan Oh served as Head of KIST Fuel Cell Research Center and demonstrated outstanding leadership that led to various leadership positions such as the Director of KIST Environmental Process Research Division, Director of Research Coordination Division, and finally, the President of KIST Green City Technology Institute.
