The Green Technology Center Korea (GTC) visited the Indonesian Agency for the Assessment and Application of Technology (Badan Pengkajian Penerapan Teknologi - BPPT) from February 15 to 17 to share ideas on current green energy projects and to build a cooperative network for future work.

The BPPT energy technology center, which introduces and evaluates renewable energy and new technologies for microgrids, took particular interest in GTC’s projects relating to renewable energy and microgrids.

GTC also visited the BPPT-operated Baron Techno Park, to learn about the current development of Indonesia’s solar energy, biomass, fuel cells, etc., and also discussed future areas for technology cooperation.

As well as operating as a research facility, Baron Techno Park is to offer renewable energy technology education to local technical high school and college students. GTC also discussed the possibility of cooperating on educational programs and plans for support programs to develop students’ abilities.
