The Green Technology Center Korea (GTC) published a book entitled ‘Future Green Technologies that protect the Earth against Climate Change (1st edition: natural disasters),’ introducing nine future green convergence technologies that can help to effectively cope with natural disasters.

The book was issued to help the public better understand climate change-related research that has great influence on daily life.

The  most promising technologies to deal with natural disasters such as typhoons, heavy rains, avalanches, heat waves, etc., were selected through a study conducted by GTC in 2014 entitled : “A study on the application of future convergence technologies for adaptation to climate change”

The book introduces nine future green convergence technologies for: ▲meteorological information analysis using super computers, ▲water resource management, ▲Global Positioning Systems (GPS), ▲super concrete, ▲drone applications, ▲zero energy construction, and ▲smart grids etc.

A researcher of GTC said, “I hope that recognition of climate change would increase globally by forecasting probable phenomena and letting the public know the importance of relevant technologies.”

The GTC plans to publish books containing climate change research results to communicate with the public for sustainable development.

This book will be distributed free of charge to those who request it via email (gtcbook@gtck.re.kr) or download the relevant file from the website (www.greenplatform.re.kr).
