Suggestion of National Science Policy(PACST)

GTC contributed to the establishment of national climate technology policies by supporting PACST(Presidential Advisory Council on Science & Technology) agenda for international cooperation in climate technology and mid- to long-term climate technology cooperation in Korea. Details are as follows:


[PACST Agenda] 


The mid to long term climate technology cooperation plan was established to promote the domestic climate industry's entry into overseas markets and promote cooperation by establishing a support system for overseas commercialization of climate technology. The mid- to long-term climate technology cooperation plan includes attracting offices in the Asia-Pacific region of CTCN and entering the board of directors, and supporting the promotion of climate technology cooperation projects worth $10 billion by 2030. In particular, the plan includes promoting the development of GTC as a professional support organization to establish a leading policy to cope with climate change and to implement domestic and international cooperation platform functions.


[Presidential Agenda] 


First, establishment and operation of Climate Technology Information System(CTis)

Second, activation of citizen-participating climate technology projects

Third, strengthening technology cooperation with developing countries to secure overseas greenhouse gas reduction.


As a climate technology policy agency, GTC will continue to support and propose policies to the Ministry of Science and ICT and to lead the establishment of national green and climate technology policies and help Korea become a leading global climate technology cooperation country.
