Obtaining New TA Projects from CTCN (Bangladesh & Keyna)

GTC received two additional orders for technical Assistance(TA) projects following 2016. In particular, in the case of the Kenya project, the first project to develop a public-private cooperation model for water resources was successfully implemented in 2016, and the second project was won in 2017, and the concept of the Green Climate Fund project will focus on developing way to link the technology-fiscal mechanism of the UNFCCC. In the case of Bangladesh, GTC will transfer seawater desalination technology and low-cost housing technology to spread the expertise and excellence of Korean technology to the international community. The details of each project are as follows.

Business Details
- Finding domestic and foreign institutions that can participate in GCF projects, securing approval bodies (AE), and promoting cooperation
- Development of GCF business concept and preparation of concept notes through consultation with Kenya NDA (Financial Sector National Designation Organization), AE and interested institutions

Expected Effectiveness
- Development of GCF business concept based on CTCN TA project to secure international technology-financial mechanism linkage case
- Establishing a foundation for GCF participation by domestic institutions/enterprises
- Providing a foundation for financing related projects to adapt to climate change in Kenya
